Willowdale Veteran's Day Ceremony
On Wednesday, November 11, staff and students of Willowdale Elementary welcomed families and friends as we we honored the men and women who have served our country in the military. We were joined by 25 veterans of wars past and present. Events began with a solemn flag ceremony, the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. Miss Carlsen led the group in songs and played taps. Visting veterans introduced themselves and were recognized.
