eginning signs of the end of the
year became more noticeable as
students rushed to get points
before grading, classes dragged on and
on, and that half hour lunch break
became a study hall.
But for each student, the school
year meant something different. Some
tried to finalize term papers, study for
tests and give their best into the
academic side of school. Others were
more occupied with the social aspect of
it: hitting all the graduation parties,
getting a date for the prom and
collecting friends' senior pictures.
Goals that were set in August by
clubs and other school activities were
met and things were getting wrapped up
and ready for next year. All the
dedication that was put into their
activity_ gave them a sense of belonging
and sdiool involvement.
This year had a lot to remember
outside of school also, such as the last
episode of Mash. Hawkeye, Klinger and
Hot Lips made their last appearance
together in a :2\/J hour special on CBS
after eleven years on the air.
Spirit was built up a bit more. The
World Herald took notice of the spirit at
the Millard North vs. Millard South
basketball game when the MN student
body came dressed Hawiian.
With the first full year of use in the
entire school building, traditions were
set, friends were made, and fond
farewells were exchanged. So, as this
book closes, with the promise of more
coverage in the first fall supplement,
don't forget to Take a Second look back.
