T he JV and Freshman " A" and " B" squads
both gained valuable playing time and
experience during their seasons.
The JV compiled a record of 11-6, which
included a tough season opening loss of 12-15, 16-
14, 7-15 from the Westside Warriors and two
losses from a difficult Millard South squad.
However, the Mustangs came back to finish their
season with a gratifying win of 15-2, 11-15, 16-14
against Beatrice.
Coach Vicky Marquardt felt the team played
up to their ability with the 11 -6 record.
The Freshman " A" and " B" squads were
not as fortunate. They compiled records of 2-11
and 3-8 respectively. The " A" squad beat th~
teams from Valley View and in the conference
tournament, Ralston, while the " B" squad was
victorious over Valley View, Millard South, and
Abe Lincoln.
During the season, the freshman teams did
satisfy Coach Kathy Kaelin primary goal to learn
basic volleyball skills .
