To feed the hungry, 44 musicians donated

album, "We are the World", and raised $37
million plus for the cause. "We are the
World" won four Grammys: song of the year,
record of the year, pop group performance
and short music video in the 28th Annual
Grammy Awards.

"The Cosby Show", a weekly sitcom of the

family called the Huxtables, became the
number-one-rated series on television. The
show helped NBC out of a decade-long
decline in ratings. Another boost for the
station was Miami Vice , which received 15
Emmy nominations.
