I e All The Rest
The year was a success. Goals were
set and achieved, friends were made, and
students learned a little more about them-
selves . There was achievement in all the ar-
eas of school: organizations, sports, and in-
dividual accomplishments.
School organizations excelled locally
and nationally. This year's one act play,
" Babies Having Babies" , took second at
Districts . Two debate teams qualified for
the Tournament of Champions in Louisville ,
Kentucky. Both forensics and debate had
national qualifiers .
Sports teams strived for the top and
their hard work paid off. Both boys and girls
cross country teams made it to State. Boys
and girls gymnastics teams won districts
and made State competition as well. The
highlight of the year was when the girls var-
sity volleyball team won the Nebraska
State Volleyball Championship and
brought home the school's first State sports
trophy ever.
Individuals also excelled. Because of
sign ificantly higher ACT and SAT scores
than the national norm, many prestigious
colleges came to recruit students. Al-
though it was uncommon for a public
school, a high percentage of the sen ior
class planned to go on to college.
Because of the hard work and dedica-
tion of many individuals and groups, the stu-
dent body was truly In A Class By Itself .
