                 Variety  Show .. ..  meanin g  an  intermix-
         ture  of diffe rent  thin gs  in  a  publi c  ex hibiti on  or
         demonstration.  That  meant  it  includ ed  dancers,
         singe rs,  bands,  and  lip  sy nc  .  Profits  fro m  the
         Yruiety  Show  went  to  the  forensics  teru11  to  help
         pay  fees  Like entii es  in  contests, such as  Catholic
         nationals  which  was  held  over graduation in  New
         York.
                 The  va ri ety  show  attrac ted  a  crowd
         makin g  it  standin g  room onl y.  TI1ey  were  able  to
         enjoy  entertai nment  and  still  win  somethin g.  Free
         dinn ers , movie passes , and a grand  pri ze  of a  wa-
         terbed  from Land  and  Ski.   Counselor Joe  Cruuso
         won  the  waterbed.
                 On  th at  Mond ay  ni ght ,  th e  stage  was
         fi lled  with  the  talent  of  the  school.  "It  was  very   Senior  Brent  Frerichs  was  prut  of the  Home  Team  which  did

                 The  vrui ety  show  turn ed  out  to  be  a  big
         hit.  There  was  an  intermi xture  of  talent  on  stage.
         The  show attrac ted  one  of the  larges t crowds ever
         and  made  a  pro fit.  Whether  you  came  to  see
          friends  or  faJllil y  perform, or  if you just come  for
         the  talent,  the  show  had  somethin g  for everyo ne.
