STUDENT liFE
BR .A lNG BOUNDS
Students found new ways to become involved in their,
school, community and world. The lives of students went
beyond the normal activities of attending school. Students
were able to make an impression in and outside of their
community . Exploring the opportunities available , students
were able to break boundaries and impact others .
Senior Ginger Kamrath had been a volunteer at
Immanuel Hospital for three years . It gave her a chance to
go beyond her surroundings and help others .
"I work at the information desk , where I answer the
phone and give directions to visitors . It gives me the chance
to meet various types of people and help others in need at the
same time ," Kamrath said .
Over the summer sophomore Naomi Nelson had the
chance to travel to New York City . New York City allowed
her to experience things that were not available in Omaha .
"My church went to a conference in New York . We
went on the streets to witness to people . The people were so
diverse ,especially when you look at Omaha . The pace of
things was much faster. It was impossible to drive in New
York ," Nelson said.
Students spent their time experiencing the world in
their own way. They took time to open the doors around
them and break the boundaries .
