For almost a month in the summer,
senior John Pill en was able to volunteer at
the Bethany Crippled Children's Center in
Kijabe, Kenya. Aiding and assisting Dr.
Dick Brandsford, John, and eight others,
built a swing set for the patients, made
balloon animals for the children, played
their guitars, and just spent time hanging
out with them. John even spent one very
long day taking off casts at a clinic in
northern Kenya.
After his experience in Africa, John
would like to pursue his interest in the
medical field and work as an overseas
miSSIOnary.
