OUT OF BOUNDS
From new fast food restaurants to trendy new stores ,
buildings began to pop up in west Omaha that gave students
convenience that was greatly needed .
For seniors with open campus . new fast food restau-
rants allowed them to eat at a variety of places each day .
New restaurants popular to students included Taco John 's,
Quizno 's, Panera and A & W.
"It has given me more-options for lunch everyday. It's
good to have a little variety out here , so we don 't have to eat
the same stuff everyday ," senior Dave Hunt said .
New shopping centers and department stores gave
students the opportunity to find many different styles of
merchandise at stores not too far from home .
"The Jones Store is my absolute favorite store . When
Old Navy opens at Oakview , I'm sure I'll shop there a lot
more often ," junior Sarah Weigel said .
While convenience was always a plus for students
when deciding where to shop or dine , spending money every-
day began to burn a hole in the pockets of some.
"I go out to eat more . which is not always good , and I
always spend way too much money shopping ," senior
laura Parrish said .
For both entertainment and convenience purposes , the
new businesses popping up in west Omaha allowed students
