Elliot, may have just been lyrics to a hip-hop song
for some, they were a way of life fo r freshman

Her reputati on as a talented hair guru earned
her a spot on speed dial on many of the phones
belonging to her corn -row craving peers.
"I was twelve years old when [ first learned
how to do hair. No one taught me how; I just sort of
did my hair one day," she said .
After discoverin g her knack fo r styling hair
she began to offer her services to th e hair-
impaired, and she's been doin g so ever sin ce .
• "Sore fin gers are worth it," she said.
