The new bond issue led toT uR.NINc; .LJ'-AD~
due to large funds used for district renova-
tions and additions.
One of the head-turning events that
occurred this year was the 13th Millard
Bond Issue. The Millard Public School
Board proposed a $78 million bond
issue, which passed with only a 57%
margm.
The bond allowed $6.7 million to go
to the school for additional classrooms, a better and larger
cafeteria, another parking lot for sophomores, and
renovations to restrooms, classrooms, and the auditorium.
In addition, the entire school district would have two new
elementary schools and a nontraditional high school built, 50
acres purchased for a future high school, new artificial turf
for Buell stadium, and increased and greater technology for
all Millard schools.
