As students got older and took more advanced classes,
many found it difficult 95o ttlitwins 1/u fles·acy of the grades
they had once received, so they instead focused more on
the learning process. A student's ability to learn the
information was not always reflected in the grade he/she
received.
"I feel that when you consider the 'big picture,' learning
far surpasses the concept of a grade," math teacher Donn
Kasner said . "Since college my high school transcript has
been looked at zero times, but I still use the skills I learned :
hard work, dedication, structure, critical thinking, time
management, and organization ."
A major accomplishment to senior Lauren Hunter was
the completion of her International Baccalaureate essay .
The essay was one of the many requirements to
graduating with an IB degree and was a minimum of 3500
words in length.
"Choosing my topic was the first step in the process . I
ended up choosing 'Why US Senator Joseph McCarthy was
able to wield such power during the Red Scare' "
said. "After that, it seemed as though the
