Aside from the basic school day, students found time to
fill their schedules with activities other than just sports.
They were involved in clubs, musicals, art, journalism, and
an array of public speaking opportunities. There was no
way of knowing what each activity would bring to a
student's day to day life.
''I'm a photographer for yearbook, and I am also involv ed'
in Amnesty International," senior Keri Halvorson said, "so n
was awkward to randomly stand up in the middle of a
meeting and start taking pictures."
A matter of school pride and expectations from alumn i
encouraged club members to strive for the highest honors
in whatever activity they were involved.
"In student council, I always have a positive attitude and
volunteer a lot of hours in order to make the school a better
place for all individuals," junior Brooke Bonnesen said.
Not only did clubs offer unique opportunities for
students, but they also provided a chance for them to mix
and mingle with others with similar interests. Of course , no
matter what the activity, Cf3o nlitwin s· llu f£es·ar:
excellence was a must.
