10 first track and field After spending two weeks snuggling up in the warm comfort
conditioning session
of our homes over break, catching up on Pretty Little Liars or
watching Elffor the seventh time, January forced us to roll out
of bed before 11 :30a.m. We tried our best to get back into the
swing of school bells and powerpoint lectures. Rather than the
SOPA apocalyptic end of the world that 2012 was rumored to bring, the
black- 18
out new year and start of the second semester brought a buzzing
energy to school morale. The swim and dive team danced their
way "Through the Ages" in leg warmers and scrunchies at their
themed toga, while NHS kept their sprits up with karaoke and
plenty of Doritos for a long eight hours during their lock -in. The
thirty-on e days of January wrapped up with wacked-out schedul-
ing due to testing, delighting students with shortened classes.
