Wanting to start a table tennis club , junior Cassi e
Huang only had one problem, they didn't have a
ping-pong table.
"We had been thinking about starting o table tennis
club for awhile we just didn't have a table to play
with," Huang said "Once we finally got the table we
started it up and a lot of people signed the sheet to
make it o club and even joined!"
Junior Alan Alahmad also helped Haung get the
table tennis club started
"All of us really wanted to play ping pong. We
knew that Millard West had it and we thought it
sounded like a good idea," Alahmad said "Once
Cassie found the table we went from there. "
Most mee tings consisted of just practicing or
friendly games. Sometimes they even had small
tournaments.
"It's a lot of fun, most of the time we just practice
or ploy against each other, its fun to see who I can
beat." Alohmad said
For Huang it was more than just a game. This game
was part of her culture and she loved shari ng it with
others.
"It's a unique sport and so many people are willing
to do it,'' Haung said "It represents my own culture
and I love letting other people experience it."
