T
ended their premiere sea-
son with an 8-9-1 record.
The team closed a strong first
season coming up a bit short at
districts, beating Boys town 10-0
but losing 6-2 to Burke .
The season was a memor-
able one with many high points
for the team. The Mustangs put
together a four game win streak
toward the end of the season
which sent them to districts.
Moreover, Senior Rich King led
the Metro in four batting ca-
tegories. He finished the season
with the top batting average in
the metro.
Coach Doug Kyles expects
to have a good team next year.
Kyles will be losing only a few
players to graduation. He said
that with the returning players
and the ones coming up from
the junior varsity team, the
Mustangs should have a good
team next year.
