dous throughout most of the
season causing students' cars
to spin . become stuck and
land in ditches. This provided
for "fun-filled" days and inter-
esting stories . Senior Sheila
McCarthy explained. "One
morning our car became stuck
on the ice three times. We
couldn't get up the hills to pick
up the carpool. I just sat in the
driver's seat while my brother
pushed the car."
Once back on the street the
now cautious driver managed
to maneuver the car to the
school parking lot which also
posed problems. Certain areas
were restricted and inevitably
the car had to be parked in
the last row. "Walking in from
the car during the winter
wasn't fun. Sometimes I
slipped on the ice, bcrt I always
froze." said Freshman Ruth
Mitchell.
During the spring , students
enjoyed their driving privileges.
"I like my car but not now

Others also dislike their cars
as Senior Bob Tucker who said,
