Aids Students
H
ave you ever wondered where
those dittoed tests come from?
Or those thousands of work-
sheets you've done? Do they sudden-
ly aP.Pear in a teachers desk? Hardly,
they come from the Audio-Visual
Department. So do the film projectors,
slide projectors and other equipment
students dread.
For reports or leisure reading,
students can make use of the library,
where there are approximately 8,000
books to choose from.
The A. V. department and the
library are also good places for
students to earn extra-activity credits
(2.5 per semester, 5 per year). It's a
lot of work, according to student
aides, getting -from one place to
another. However, it's a good chance
to work with the A. V. equipment or to
make use of the library.
Student aides aren't the only ones
who work. Kim Vawter, media
specialist, with the help of adult aides,
gets a lot of work done too.
Audio-Visual jobs include preview-
ing and purchasing films and filmstrips.
The Department also video-tapes
special events, such as pep rallies and
guest speakers. While these jobs are
taking place, Don Skokan, also a
media specialist, and Sue Regan, aide
are busy with the books.
So now, when you need help with
reports or special projects, you know
there will always be someone there
willing to help you .
