Burning up
free time
(continued from page 32)
For those times when time was plenty
and money was scarce, shopping, socializing
and partying all suddenly became popular
standbys, especially around the Holiday
season when money was really scarce.
The beginning of fall brought on the
hurried last minute picnics and frisbee games
- that is if you could fit those in after raking
the yard, walking the dog, and cleaning your
room.
Then winter came with its cold winds,
snowfalls and the unearthing of the
snowshovel. Snowball fights, sledding. ice
skating and snowmobiling were enough to
keep students with extra time busy.
Even if this wasn't enough, there were
always those standbys to fall back on again!
Unfortunately this was also the season when
money was scarce so these standbys were
all the more welcoming as time fillers.
Spring heralded the arrival of more
picnics, more parties and more fun. Also,
spring fever hit students and the Great
Outdoors suddenly seemed a lot brighter and
better (especially from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
But no matter what form or season
entertainment came in, the year was filled
with fun and activities. Because after all,
entertainment was what students enjoyed
the most.
