Millard North has been expanding and
adapting to the 200 student enrollment
increase this year. This meant hiring more
teachers, controlling increased hallway
traffic and obtaining more materials.
In addition to their many responsibili-
ties, the Administrators were still in the
concession stand business. However, the big
seller, popcorn, seemed to have finally been
overrun by a new one - doughnuts.
Of top priority this year was the
long-range planning. The Millard School
Board sought the assistance of Dr. Shirley
McCune of Learning Trends, Norsbett
Group and Trend Reports, raised the
question of whether to raise the number of
graduating credits. There were a vast
number of meetings concerning this issue
and the parents of Millard students were
sent invitations to attend and voice their ~
opinions.
McCune also was asked to use her
expertise on Millards vision for the future
and what the school district needs to do to
bring the vision to a reality by 1990.
What that will be still remains to be
seen.
