Girl Power
W hen discussing basketball, the
topic is usually boys' varsity.
Few people give much consider-
ation to the girls, much less to the
freshmen and JV teams.
Recognition is something the girls do
not get enough of, and many of them
deserve it. The freshmen did exceptional-
ly well this year. The "A" team had a
season record of 12 - 3 and the "B" team
had an 8 - 1 record. They also ranked as
Inner-city Conference Tournament
Champions by winning the most play-off
games in a series at the Tournament
Championship.
Season record for the JV team was
9 - 6. Five of their six losses were by only
one to four points.
