                                                                                  incomplete  and  the  Indians  won with a 14-9
                                                                                  victory.
                                                                                      In  the  first  game  of the  season  against
                                                                                  Papillion,  both  teams  were  scoreless  at  the
                                                                                  beginning  of halftime.  Finally  the  Mustangs
                                                                                  took charge  as  Junior  Pat  Friend  ran  53  yards
                                                                                  for the  touchdown.  Even  though  Papio  had
                                                                                  scored  1  0  points,  the  Mustangs  came  back
                                                                                  with  a  38  yard  drive  by Dingfield  and  the
                                                                                  Mustangs  held  on  to win  20-17.
                                                                                      In  the  game  against  Omaha  North,  the
                                                                                  Mustangs  walked  away with a 14-0 victory.
                                                                                  On  their  first drive,  they  went 54  yards  to
                                                                                  score  on  a run  by Friend  with a little less  than
                                                                                  8  minutes  left in  the  first  quarter.
                                                                                 ~  Coach  Petito  summarized  the  season  by
                                                                                  saying,  "We got a really  good performance
                                                                                  out  of everybody."
