Season
nly Omaha Central was able to defeat
the power of the JV Football team, to
)
leave them with an almost perfect
ord, of 7-1 , the first time in Millard North's
:ory.
About the loss to Central, Coach Trey
loach said, " we played good but we had some
obl ems on offense." Two quarterbacks, Sopho-
re Carlton Connor and Junior Chris Bigley,
re injured during the season. "These injuries
i players moving up to varsity hurt the
~nse .''
The offense did manage to score a season
il of 148 points, while the JV's opponents were
::1 to 43 points. Junior Mike Decker was the
:ling scorer with 38 points while Junior Vic
ivez followed with 24.
For a team that practiced only "about an
tr a week," this was the first time the team had
•inning season. "Most often we practiced with
varsity," claimed Deloach
" We played aggressively," he added. He
) said their biggest strength was the defense.
was good all over, especially the defensive
.ks."
Deloach stated that he wouldn't have
.nged anything except maybe to have a more
.sistent effort.
