Spirit Comes Alive



                                           _  I f one were a stranger walking through the halls  rally.  It  held  the  Third  Annual  Mr.  Mustang _
                                               during  the  week  of  September 23-27,  one  contest. The contestants strutted across the floor
                                               might have thought  that this school was a little  in  boxer  shorts and shower caps and  had  to

                                                 Also  on  Friday was  the Homecoming  pep  they didn't know it  was their mothers, and they

                                                                                      know  if  they could give  minuses.
                                                                                          The  M-Club  sponsored a  hall-decorating
                                                                                      contest for the first time with the juniors receiving
                                                                                      first  place. "I thought the hall decorating was the
                                                                                      best part of  the week because everyone could be
                                                                                      involved,"  stated Junior Todd Sedlacek.
                                                                                          During the pep rally, certain members of  the
                                                                                      staff and student body had on  garbage bags to
                                                                                      help support the football  team with  a  theme of
                                                                                      "Trash Fremont." The Mustangs came away with
                                                                                  ,_      Student Council Advisor Andy Fidler, whose
                                                                                      a  12-7  victory.
                                                                                      group organized Spirit Week,  said,  " Overall,  it
                                                                                      was  pretty good,  but  we  didn't  have as many
                                                                                      people participate as we had hoped for . The more
                                                                                      student involvement, the more fun  it  could be."

     Promoting Homecoming is one of the main  points of Spirit
     Week . At  the pep  rall y, the  royalty candidates were  called
