S Juniors proved again and again that
pirit, responsibilities, privileges and high
achievment all described the Junior Class.
they had spirit. Being enthusiastic and wild
became a common characteristic for them.
Winning the hall decorating contest during Spirit
Week also added a new sense of pride for the
class.
Along with becoming a junior came many
more privileges. Modified open campus was good
for students with an open first or seventh hour.
There was one drawback though. If students had
a study hall during the day they had to stay in it
and not leave.
Juniors were also allowed to drive to school
and park when space permitted.
Since students were a year older they were
given more responsibilities and were expected to
act more grown-up. This was obvious thoughout
- the 11-12 side of the building. The 11-12 cafeteria
and commons area were considerably less noisy
than the 9-10 side.
Many juniors took the -SAT and ACT tests
in preparation for college. Juniors could be seen
at the College Fair in the fall . In the spring they
started narrowing down college choices.
High achievment was also representative of
the Junior class. They excelled in sports, grades,

drama and all other extra-curricular activities.
