11/12 Choir
Debut on TV
M
any familiar faces could be seen
on the Nebraska Educational Television I
station. Friends and classmates who made
up the 11/ 12 concert choir were chosen to
perform on NETV for the first time in the his-
tory of the school.
•• The choir was one of eight chosen to
• represent various schools throughout Ne-
braska. They were selected because of
the quality of the choir, and because the
producers wanted to show a good cross -
section of schools.
It took four hours of taping to get the
eight songs which aired on December 24th
over winter break. It was a different and
exciting experience for many students, but
standing in one spot from noon until four
was often difficult. As Senior Heather Mudd
said, " We had fun , but it was really stren-
uous, and everyone was relieved when the
director said cut."
However, the television performance
was not the only honor. Other such honor
choirs included: Hastings, Wesleyan, All
State, and All State Jazz .
In addition, choral music director of
UNO Cina Crisara conducted an annual
day-long seminar for the school and Millard
South which ended in a concert on Febru-
ary 16th. __/
