Its Memories
Were /Sweet/
0 ne night was made speciaL
through the efforts of Junior Class Board
and the Booster Club. This night. May 14,
was Prom and the After Prom Party.
Prom ? What was this mysterious word,
that struck different emotions into every-
one?
For Sara, Prom was a special event.
She had looked forward to Prom since she
knew of the word. Her dress had been pick-
ed out for months and so had her date. The
evening would be full of an expensive din-
ner, carriage ride in the Old Market. a walk
through the park, the Prom . After Prom Par-
ty, an early breakfast, and of course she 'd
ride in a limo . To her Prom was a night filled
with magic.
For Dusty, Prom was a special time be-
cause his girl friend came home to spend
it with him . They did the regular routine: din-
ner, Prom and After Prom Party. Prom was
exciting for Dusty, but for the next few
weeks he was broke.
To Tricia, Prom was something to look
forward to, but nothing exciting. It was a
time to go out with friends and enjoy the
evening. It would be-her last Prom and she
wanted to enjoy it with everyone.
Matt wasn't going to Prom. The idea
of getting all dressed up scared him. Al -
though he wasn't attending Prom , the After
Prom Party sounded liked a good time.
Staying out till 5:30 in the morning was his
idea of fun .
Jerry did not like Prom . He did not want
to attend the After Prom Party either. A few
of his friends were going to get together
and have a party. This was going to be a
night to remember.
Prom was the existence of all these
people and all the feelings they shared
about it . Whether or not they were attend-
ing, taking a date or not, they all made up
the feeling of it . Together they made Prom
the place to be and provided a special at-
mosphere. __/
