Extra Effort
Was Worth It

ings , homework, and papers.
As the year progressed, things started
to fall into place. All of a sudden students
were not students and teachers were not
teachers. They became something more,
something to take pride in . They did not just
work in the school. they became the
school. Everyone gave all they could to
make the school the best it could be.
Teachers gave that extra effort by
starting preparation for school at least
three weeks in advance. Then besides
teaching at least five classes a day, they
made themselves available after school to
help the lost and confused.
Besides having a full road, there were
students who devoted much of their time
to activities such as the drama, choir, band,
cheerleading, sports practice, or the many
other available activities. The student body
as a whole participated as well. They
turned out in vast numbers for things such
as sports events, fall and spring plays, vari-
ety show, and special dances. If there was
nothing else to do, they found other ways
to enjoy their time. Some went to the
movies, partied, or shopped. The list was
endless .
Whether they won or lost, succeeded
or failed, the students and faculty did it with
grace and the school remained In A Class
By Itself . _/
