the sun . As we individually
walked across the stage and re-
ceived our diplomas. the result
,- of thirteen years of late night
study sessions, re searc h papers,
Cliffs' notes. and cramming for
finals was in their hands .
As the Class of 1 989 was offi-
cially presented to the world and
we filed out again. we walked
out of hig_tl school and into the
real world. In the basement of
the Civic Auditorium. a range of
emotions from elation to disbe-
lief to emptiness was see n. As
gowns were turned in and pic-
tures were taken . the class was
together for one last time. The
atmosphere was electric as we
made one final promise to each
