Sharing secrets, food , dreams,
problems , money, and both fun and
depressing occasions made romanti c
relationships an instance of GIVE &
TAKE with a close companion.
Seniors Jason Hoff and Jenni Wille,
who have been dating for four years
and four months, have a professional
picture taken. "We pretty much get
along," Hoff said. 'We decide what we
want to do together, we don't argue at
all, and ·we get along great. For the
most part, we like the same things."
Although some were fortunate enough
to have a relationship with someone
who held all the same interests, when
involved in this type of partnership,
students often participated in activities
that they would otherwise despise,
such as "chick flicks" or golf games.
For Hoff and Wille, who worked at the
same store and had the same hours
on different days, spending time
together could often be a GIVE &
TAKE situation. "There are some
instances where I get time off work,
like Valentine's Day, and have to
make up th at day later on," Hoff said.
From these experiences, though,
students gained open-mindedness
and responsibility, as well as strong,
meaningful relationships with those
they loved. photo by Arnold Clark
