Having to GIVE &
TAKE could often be a
tug-of-war situation for
students, as parts of
their minds battled the
strain between opposing
elements, such as
responsibility and
wishes or warring
friends. Here, represen-
tatives of the yearbook
and newspaper staffs
participate in a battle of
female strength as

Fitzpatrick, and junior
Dallas Douglass stretch
their respective ends of
the rope. Although
many journalism
participants were
longtime friends, the two
print staffs had a
nonphysical "war,"
unlike the one pictured,
during the entire year.

between loyalty to
friends and devotion to
