Mandy contributed a "cheerful and
willing" attitude to the Writer's Club,
Vawter said. If she hadn't composed a
poem to read during the meeting, she
found a piece by another author to read.
She worked hard "all year and all sum-
m~r" preparing for the club. During the
year, she started composing a novel.
