Involvement


                                                                             STUDENTS VOLUNTEER TIME

                                                                                    Whether it was having the ability to
                                                                             communicate through a foreign language
                                                                             or having daily communication by express-
                                                                             ing  it  through the media, students found
                                                                             extracurricular activities and clubs to be
                                                                             fun.
                                                                                    The Spanish club allowed students
                                                                             to spend time with old  friends and build
                                                                             new friendships.  "Night bowling was really
                                                                             fun.  I met new people, and it was a differ-
                                                                             ent kind of bowling," sophomore Jeff
                                                                             Derby said.
                                                                                    German  member, senior Matt
                                                                             Panzer,  said that the club was fun  be-
                                                                             cause he could learn  about the culture
                                                                             and" the food at meetings was good, too."
