C oach John Carroll felt that the tennis season
was a successful one, even though the team
underwent man y changes .
"We experienced a new trend this season
and have labeled it a rebuilding year," Carroll
said. p

day after school for two hours . I he Varsit y play-
ers also agreed to play in the w inter and com-
mitted themsel ves to practice in the summer.
Carroll was surprised that the rebuilding
team, led by two seniors Matt Breunsbach and
Andy Shannon , became a quick contender for
the state title.
"I thought that it was cool that we placed
fifth at state, although it was disappointin~ that
we (Andy Shannon and Breunsbach) didn t get
first in our last year at MN," Breun sbach soia .
