-sen1or Alexx Kendall Guys with long hair, low- rise jeans , peasant taps, and the
shoes known best as Chucks were all examples of the kinds of
fashions that students could be seen sporting during the year.
Most of the school's population agreed that all it took was a
quick glance at a few individuals clothing attire to figure out that
histor y was truly repeating itself
"It's as if we ran out of ideas All the fashions you see these
days have been borrowed from past generations. No look can
be called original- unique maybe, but not original," freshman Ali
Galloway said
Some students chose to work the repeating fashions trend in
a more subtle way than others
'lots of styles people wear these days, like faded jeans or
beanie hats, are styles from the past, but you don't reall y notice
that unless you actually think about it. The only time you do notice
it is when certain people try to blatantly look like they are from
a different era- take for example, I have a close friend who is
obsessed with looking like an eighties reject. She dresses like she's
trying out to be an extra in a Molly Ring wald movie or
something ," sophomore Scotty Glidewell said.
Each era made a different contribution to the fashions that
flooded the hallways over the last year. Every person had his or
her opinion as to which generation had the trendiest threads, but
the majority of tbe student population felt partial to their own
generation's variety of dated styles.
"I like a lot of different looks , from a lot of different time
periods, so I love that our generation doesn't reall y have one
certain look. We wear whatever we want, from whenever we
want," junior Michael Lawson said
