B locked hallways, sounds of drilling and cl osed
bath rooms were all a part of a nonnal school day
for students. For the better part of the year, MN under-
went a massive renovati on due to a sc hool bond issue
passed in 2005. It allowed fo r 6 million dollars worth of
improvements to be made to the school, including eight
new classrooms, a new cafeteri a, a parking lot expansion
                  and remodeled bath rooms.
"Moving into the new wing was like movin g into a
house from an apartment. I now have a fully furnished
cl assroom, and my students don't have to walk out in the
cold for classes each day," social studies teacher Casey
                  Lundgren said.
"Sometimes the constructi on was a major pain be-
cause you would have to walk across the school to get
to a bathroom, but the new improvements are amazin g,"
                  junior Erin Coleman said.
The sounds of drilling during testing weren't missed
by stu dents and staff, but the changes they brought were
                  welcomed.
