The Winter Play portrayed a high school experience from the 1960s

with high expectations for her
inner-city students.
"Ms. Barret's character
was very serious and dra-
matic, and I'm used to more
humourous roles. It was a big
change, but I learned a lot
in the process," senior Erin
Parker said.
Serious scenes and issues
faced on stage didn 't stop stu-
dents involved from finding
time for fun, however. Bonds
created during rehearsals
helped to relieve the stress of
putting together a production
and brought a different and
sometimes crazy aspect to the
winter play experience.
