Our sun-kissed skin and summer-stricken spirits faced an abrupt
end to the nearly three-month oasis from school when August snuck
up on us. That one summer of 2011 began its scholarly transition.
That Banana Boat tanning oil and Ray-
Ban shades became a Tl-84 Inspire and
spiral notebooks. Those minutes between
flight connections to exotic vacation spots
and World Geo. That overplayed chorus of 15 fall -·
turned into the seven between AP Calc. ~ .
