Your final product is to be an .MP3 file that is 8-10 minutes long. It must be uploaded to Jensen's G-cast site by the end of class Thursday, April 1st - and that's no April Fools!

How you create that file is up to you. You should be aware that you must record the podcast in its entirety - that means no cutting/pasting. You must all be ready to record your parts at the same time. This is to have a "live" feel to it. You should expect to spend about 80% of your time researching, writing the script, rehearsing your statement and practicing your pronunciation, and 20% of your time with the actual recording.

Record on the Macs in the production rooms in Garageband.
Here are the directions:

  1. Create a new project
  2. Save it as one person in your group’s name and the hour on the desktop, Example: Katie Kangas hora 6
  3. Click on Track, new track, real instrument, vocals
  4. Make sure the metronome is NOT checked or you'll have a clicking in the background
  5. RECORD YOUR RADIO SHOW.
  6. Add any sound effects you may choose.
  7. File - export to i-tunes
  8. In i-tunes, advanced, convert to mp3

THEN...

2.Once you've created your .MP3 file, you need to upload it to my G-Cast site. Sign in with my username: tmjensen@mpsomaha.gaggle.net, password: podcast. You then upload audio by selecting from your computer: upload new audio files. Your title should be the title of your program. Continue as prompted.
