about his girls ' golf team's sixth
place finish at the state tour-
nament.
When the season started
the team had only two girls who
were capable of leading the
team. Seniors Dawn Awerkamp
and Diane Sharp. However there
had to be four players and the
third player was Senior Renee
Cross .

year I had a hard time deciding
whether to go out for volleyball

"My dad has influenced me
ever since I was knee high. I
wanted to be just like him
because he is a very good
athlete. We always golfed
together and he pointed out
things for me to work on."

Our team was really supper-
tive of each other. Everyone got
along really well. Our team
didn't have much to begin with,
but with everyone's help we
went to state," summarized
Awerkamp.
