Coach Gerald Johnette in-
formed the student body at a
pep rally.
Coach Johnette wanted to
achieve a 500 season but came
far from that goal with a 5-1 4
record. Playing tough, well-
experienced teams like Creight-
on Prep an~ Omaha Benson
took its toll.
"Playing Benson or Prep is
more relaxing than playing an
"easy" team. There is nothing to
lose. We thought we could win
every game; if there was ever
a game we didn't think we
could win, then we wouldn't
play it," commented Senior
Doug Brunson.
Next year, due to graduat-
ing seniors, many of the Metro
teams will be losing starters.
Because of this , Johnette fore-
sees the team being able to
compete with anyone in the
area, maybe a Metro power.
Being a short team, they
had a lot of trouble on rebounds.
Things are looking better in this
area because taller players will
be moving up from JV.
