Fired Up?
W
ith a staggered record
of win, Joss, win, loss, the
girls junior varsity basket-
ball team pulled out of the season
with a 9-6 record.
According to Coach Paul
Sanders the reasoning behind this
was only because of the schedul-
ing of the games. Other players
believed it to be mental ups and
downs.
Sophomores Libby Erickson
and Patty Dingfield agreed that
the team needed to work on
getting mentally fired up for the
games.
Papio was a tough opponent.
It was close all the way through
with good competition and only a
couple points difference in the
score. The game wasted when
the fourth quarter ended. Over-
time was called and the score
continued to climb for both
teams. Overtime ended with one
foul and a technical against
Millard. All three free throws were
made, ending the game a 46-49
Joss .
Erickson and Dingfield both
felt "the team got along well as
a whole and worked together as
a team as well as friends ."
