s eighth graders. the
Freshman Boys Basket-
ball team completed an
undefeated season. Although
not undefeated, they ended this
season with a winning record.
Including the loss of the tour-
nament game with Prep, their
record was 10-5. The semi-final
game was lost in the last five
seconds with a Prep shot that
proved to be a winner, said
Coach Norm Glismann.
Being the biggest loss of the
season, the game against
Fremont was one of the more
memorable ones. The loss was
blamed on the fact that the
team had not touched a ball for
three days.
"Although our team lacked
height, we had the speed of our
guards and forwards. We also
had good shooters and one
excellent rebounder. We really
depended on our defense. We
lack depth. but it is on the
increase," said Glismann.
"In practice. we tried to
improve the fundamentals and
teach them some new tech-
niques, and near the end, we
worked a lot on conditioning,"
stated Freshman Skip Hanson .
"Overall, I feel that we had a
very successful year. and our
team really started to play well
at the end of the season." said
Glismann. By Lisa Spaulding
