                                                                               Brings  Change



                                                                               W       hen  the  Millard  high  schools
                                                                                       split and changed, the admin-
                                                                                       istration  of Millard  North  and
                                                                               the school board had to make some
                                                                               changes too. These  changes had to
                                                                               be made for the school to work on its
                                                                               own.
                                                                                   With  the  changes some  of  the
                                                                               administration received new titles and
                                                                               a  new member, Rudy  Papenfuhs, was
                                                                               added.  He  was  appointed Assistant
                                                                               Principal  in  charge of Pupil  Services.
                                                                                   As  the 11-12  wing of the building
                                                                               was  partly ready to  open early  in
                                                                               November, the administration moved
                                                                               some of their offices into it . After just
                                                                               getting settled, the rest  of the wing
                                                                               was  ready to open in  the middle of
                                                                               February, which meant the administra-
                                                                               tion had to  move their offices again.
                                                                                   Although the  administration had
                                                                               to make changes, they were not the
                                                                               only ones. The  school board suffered
                                                                               a  loss  with  the death of the school
                                                                               board Pres ident Dr. Robert Ackerman.
                                                                               With  this,  new  officers  had  to  be
                                                                               elected.  Chuck  Hask ins  replaced
                                                                               Ackerman as  school board President
                                                                                .. . Superintendent Dr.  Don  Stroh  said
                                                                               about Ackerman, " No man was more
                                                                               \foE>ca\  than Bob  about his  pride in  the
                                                                               school  district.  At the same  time he
                                                                               constantly challenged us  to. do  an
                                                                               even better job for  our  students."
                                                                                   Dr.  Ike  Pane  commented about
                                                                               the school  year with the changes,  " I
                                                                                was very pleased with how the school
                                                                                year  went.  The  students  and  staff
                                                                               adjusted  very  well  to  all  of  the
                                                                                changes that had to be made. They
                                                                                also  took leadership and had pride in
                                                                               their new school."
