Brings Change
W hen the Millard high schools
split and changed, the admin-
istration of Millard North and
the school board had to make some
changes too. These changes had to
be made for the school to work on its
own.
With the changes some of the
administration received new titles and
a new member, Rudy Papenfuhs, was
added. He was appointed Assistant
Principal in charge of Pupil Services.
As the 11-12 wing of the building
was partly ready to open early in
November, the administration moved
some of their offices into it . After just
getting settled, the rest of the wing
was ready to open in the middle of
February, which meant the administra-
tion had to move their offices again.
Although the administration had
to make changes, they were not the
only ones. The school board suffered
a loss with the death of the school
board Pres ident Dr. Robert Ackerman.
With this, new officers had to be
elected. Chuck Hask ins replaced
Ackerman as school board President
.. . Superintendent Dr. Don Stroh said
about Ackerman, " No man was more
\foE>ca\ than Bob about his pride in the
school district. At the same time he
constantly challenged us to. do an
even better job for our students."
Dr. Ike Pane commented about
the school year with the changes, " I
was very pleased with how the school
year went. The students and staff
adjusted very well to all of the
changes that had to be made. They
also took leadership and had pride in
their new school."
