from behind is the true mark of a
winner.
This determination was demonstrated
by the Freshmen and Junior varsity volleyball
teams this year. "Both teams had the ability
and determination to come from behind,"
according to coaches Collette Shelton and
Kris Gabrielson.
"Freshmen team learned how to play the
game, they became more familiar with the
rules, and improved on their basic skills," '
said Shelton. "Both of teams always gave 110
percent which made them a very tough
opponent," she also added. Although their
overall record was-7-7 and their "B" teams
record was 5-6 their effort output more than
compensated for their standing in the
statistics.
Junior varsity also started off slowly and
then came on strong toward the end of the
season. "A good example of their determina-
tion to come back was the Ralston game in
which they were down 13-4 and then came
back to win the game by a score of 15-13,"
Coach Gabierlson commented.
Hard work and determination were the
keys to this years volleyball team's success.
