Split Season i
his year's MNHS
T eight and eight to give them a split
Junior Varsity
Mustangs came up with a record of
season. They won many close games
including two overtime victories over Omaha
Westside and Omaha North.
The Mustang players felt that they did
not have much height on their team this year
but they worked well as a team and also used
their advantage of quickness over other
teams to win. Junior Jeff Johnson comment-
ed, "since we didn't have much height, we
had to be quick and pass the ball well, I think
we did a good job."
As the other MNHS basketball teams, the
JV had their share of close wins and
dissapointing losses. "Our best win during
the season was when we beat Omaha
Westside in two overtimes 70-64," said Jeff
Johnson. As in every sport, each season has
it's good points and it's bad points but, most
felt that this year the good points far out
weighed the bad.
