Lunches

L
unches have traditionally been a target
for criticism and complaint, but most
students who ate school lunches found
them to be quite good.
However. there were still many students
who preferred eating out. Senior Mark
Mokelbust said, "The school lunches are
pretty good, but I eat at McDonalds and
Burger King because I like their food better.
W.C. Franks and Godfathers were two
other popular places to eat at, as well as the
lunch buffets at Peferoni's and Valentino's.
The only problem with eating out was
the cost. Senior Connie Houck said, "School
lunches cost me about 90 cents. but when I
eat the lunch buffet at Valentino's it cost
$3.65.
With the addition of a salad bar to the
school lunch menu, even more students ate
their lunch at school.
"Because the quality of lunches im-
proved with the ala carte and the salad bar.
a lot of students who would normally go out
ate at school," said Senior Jim Rupprecht.
