Meet Goals
T he goal of the Student Council was to
plan activities that would improve
communication between students and
the administration.
Some of the activities they engaged in
were Homecoming, computer fun, open
house, the variety show, and the new student
picnic. These activities and various other
projects kept membe-;.s of the Student
Council busy throughout the year.
Student Council also took action to
increase communications between students
and administration. A suggestion box was
placed in the library for the student body
enabling them to communicate with the
council and the administration. There was
also a survey given to a fraction of the
students concerning improvements needed
within the school.
In addition to the suggestion box and the
survey, Walt Mertz attended school board
meetings representing the student body. He
posted information he obtained from the
meeting on the main bulletin board to inform
students of issues being discussed.
Student Council also became involved in
a developmental pre-school program at
Central Elementary School. Through this
program they were able to be of service to
the community.
Ms. Rudloff, sponsor of Student Council,
felt the year was a success. She felt the
various school oriented and community
activities were very worthwhile. Ms. Rudloff
also felt communications improved and
hoped they would continue to in the future.
