All Freshmen were encouraged to take at least one
study hall. Here Freshman Mike Korthals catches up
Welcome '87 on his homework.

A s little Joe Freshman approached the
massive senior high school of Millard
North, thousands of thoughts ran
through his head. Would he get lost on the
way to all his classes? Would he like his
teachers? Would there be any good-lookin'
girls to scope out? Would some huge senior
guys make putty out of his face? Would he
like being in a four grade high school?
For some freshmen this is true, while
others not as much, but with any frosh
there is always a little fear of starting at
Millard North.
Freshman Cody Painter stated that he
didn't like it cuz he had to take a lot of
"hack" from upperclassmen, while Darren
Pore said he liked being in high school
because it had better lunches than the
Junior High, and he could drink pop in
study hall, during Advisement.
Overall, most liked the atmosphere of
the 9-12 buildings. Freshman Lisa Lodge
summed it up, "You have more freedom
because it was so- structured at the Junior
High. Basically, you can do and be anyone
you want."
