Spirit Rules
S
tudent activities were not confined to
just what students did at school. They
also included how people spent their free
time and weekends. The important thing
was that no matter what the activity, students
gave one-hundred per cent to it and came out
on top.
One important activity at this school was
a sporting event. The Mustang fans always
had.more spirit and fire than those for the op-
posing team. This helped push their teams
to victory. School plays and musicals also
drew a lot of support from the student body.
Drama gave students an opportunity to get
involved in something different.
Outside of school, students competed in
such activities as gymnastics and theater.
Also, people spent a lot of time at concerts
and other civic events. They definitely sang
louder and danced more than any other peo-
ple.
Spending money was another thing that
students did well. They knew just where to
shop to find the right clothes. They also
knew the best places to eat and what movies
to go see.
For people at this school, competition and
spirit were integral parts of life. So whether
it was in school or out on the town, students
were always Hanging the Competition out to
Dry .
